How to Download for Sims 1

Downloading for Sims 2 How to Download for Sims 2 Hello.... so I see you have made it here.  Which means that your not sure what to do with the pretties  you have downloaded or want to download for your Sims 2 game. Ok, before you add anything new to your game. I have to ask, have you installed CEP and do you have WinRar as well? CEP is Color Enabler Package that you can download  from only one site that I know of. MTS2 or Mod of the Sims 2. So before you can actually download all those pretty  new objects and even some wallpapers and floors, you have to install those programs. CEP will allow you to see the recolours of Maxis made objects  and special objects that creators have made for us all. now that you have them installed, your ready to download  and install your new pretties for your simmies to enjoy as much as you are. Ok here's how you start. Look at the lower left hand side of your computer screen,  see the Start button there? click on that ... now look for My Documents. Click on it and open that up. See the Folder that Says E A Games? Click on it to open it up. Now there should be  a folder in here that says the Sims , click on that folder  and open it up too. Look for a folder named Downloads. If you dont have one, all you have to do is right click and add a new folder and name it Downloads. Make sure you name it exactly the same way its spelled here. Now open your Downloads folder up and right click again and add another new folder, this time your going to rename it after the site or group you are going to download from. See this way if you experience any problems with a new item, you can easily find it , by the name of the folder you have put it in. Sometimes the file name is not the same as the name of the object that you will see once you go into your game and start building, and decorating your Sims houses. However, by knowing which file the item is in, will help , if you do experience any problems. You can also add a Wall folder and Floor Folder if you want to. Some sites have Package files that you will need to have Clean Pack Installer to add to your game. Some will be in .rar files. these you can download to a temporary folder then extract to your game, or you can extract as your downloading each file into your downloads folder. Objects, walls and floors for the Sims 2 go into your download folder. Skin's, clothing, genetics, hair, accessories, jewelry, go into your SAVED SIMS folder. Sometimes a new object will require you to download a NEW MESH, for that specific item .Clothing, skins and other new things like that usually require a new Mesh before you can actually use them in your game. Also, when downloading for Sims2, look to see if what you are downloading is compatible with the Expansion packs you have installed in your Sims 2 game. If you dont have the required EP's, then you wont be able to use the objects or items that you want to add to your game. So it goes like this For Objects, sofa's , chairs, tables, bed's , dressers, new baby items, rugs, curtains, drapes, car's, plants, picture's, statue's, Door's, windows, floor's, wallpapers ect.
